No, we will still demand a secular government but from your list, it does look like most Christians would support an Islamic candidate since they have so much in common.

You are making Islam sound like Christianity. Of course, before the Crusades Christians and Muslims shared many of the same holy sites and prayed together. The simple reality is we're right: no religion in government is best. If you have any doubts about that, look at Islamic governments as an example.

If Moslems start dominating the White House, it won't matter what ANYBODY wants. Don't be like the 'free thinkers' who believe every government wants to imitate the U.S. Liberals want to believe you can reason with all people and we can ALL come to a point of Peace and Love. The enemies of this mindset are laughing hysterically because it is TOO EASY to defeat this type of mindset.
In America you can ask questions and give opinions; you can file appeals and protest freely. Don't compare all the privileges here with anywhere else.
You'll lose your head!!!!!!!!!!

You are missing the point entirely.
Even if we elect Muslims into the House and the Senate, if they upheld their oath and honored the Constitution it would not matter what religion they may be.
The US government is a secular institution and it should always remain that way.
Why do conservatives and neo-cons have such a hard time understanding that basis of the US government is our Constitution. It is not the president, nor the House, nor the Senate.

Most liberals (and cons) just want someone in office who will acknowledge we're smart enough to be told the truth. We can't trust a word coming out of Mr. Bush's mouth and that's been proved time and time again.
Americans want to see an end to the corruption and see the country regain the respect it's lost in the last 7 years.

Would that be the only choice? It seems that the choice that you're giving becomes a matter of "this or that". I didn't know that we lived in a world that is only "one or the other" I think the key is a diverse government--then you don't have the problem of one camp dominating the interests of the whole.

Since when is this country a theocracy? That is laws based on a holy book instead of a constitution. And I mean any holy book, the Bible, the Quran, the Torah etc. So take the Bible out of Washington and put it back where it belongs, in a church.

I am sure various religions do many things that are helpful to the people who follow them. Administering government isn't one of them. Religions are for trying to answer spiritual questions, not making the trains run on time or providing equal protection for all.
If you want a dose of religion, GO TO CHURCH.

If Muslims were elected to US office specifically to practice their religion it would not be Liberals voting for them. Liberals are the ones who want to get rid of ALL religion in politics, remember?
That leaves conservatives, who support the Muslim side of each one of the issues you cited. Does this mean conservatives and Muslims think the same?

We'll see if the Muslims get elected first.
As far as the gay sex, you might want to check into Muslim culture. Why do you think they have such restrictions on their Women? Women are for babies and staying home, men are for sun and pleasure. I know because I was deployed in a Muslim country. It was not odd to see men holding hands and kissing.
