My excuse is I have no family, and no friends close enough (geographically, not emotionally) to invite me to spend the holiday with them. What's your excuse? (Being in another country counts, but I'm really asking Americans.)

Thanks, ynke7, I'll take white meat and pumpkin pie. Virtual food can't make me fatter, after all! LOL

It's still a lil' too early here. Life's so ironic sometimes, isn't it? You don't have anyone nearby to invite you, and I've had at least 15 separate invitations this year! You cannot imagine how hard it is to have to say NO to some of those gracious friends. In the end, I couldn't get out of 3 of the invitations! LOL

Thanksgiving is BY FAR my favorite holiday of the year; I'm really crazy about TG food, too. :-) But eating essentially the same thing three times in a row calls for some serious stretching exercises and diplomatic maneuvering [ if you are hoping to avoid offending the hosts], or you could easily end up exploding in the process. LOL

You do NOT always need others in order to have fun, dear auntB - go out and treat yourself to a nice meal somewhere, DO NOT STAY HOME ALONE.

Hi AuntB93, I'm all alone here too - my ex wanted the kids, and since he hasn't had them in months, I let them go. I know how important it is for them to spend time with their dad, so here I am! Make the best of it is the order of the day for me, and I will be going to my friend's later for dinner and football! Take care, love to all, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Waiting for the oven to get freed up so I can bake awhile instead of roast. I sure wish you lived near- you would so be invited to dinner. I love my family dearly but the conversations here leave alot to be desired..

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been alone a couple of times, and on Christmas, too. It's kind of depressing. I'm here because I just got up, and I'm drinking my morning coffee.

Waiting for the BIRD TO COOK!

Sometimes you don't want to deal with the relatives you see once a year also!
