Al Gore may be tipping his hand now. While he's been doing talks (while flying around on his private jet, etc - now living what he's preaching), he makes a cool $200,000! Now that's chicken feed for ultra rich Liberal Democrats like John Kerry and even John Edwards, but hey, it's well above the average salary. And for reference, $200,000 annual salary fits into the Democrats scheme of "Taxing the Rich" plans.

With his announcement on November 12 to take a partner position at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, will he finally get the millions of dollars that he really wants from the biggest scam the world has seen?

Kolacat17: Global Warming is not about air polution! It is about Green House Gases. There are three, Water vapor, methane and CO2. Water vapor accounts for 95% and CO2 is less than 1%. It is the CO2 that the focus is on - you know, the stuff that plants need to survive on? Nobody is for true air polution, and we should be thankful for what we've done to clean up our air. We are a world leader in that. If you haven't been to Mexico City, it will give you an appreciation for what has happened here. The point for Al is that there is no scientific basis for saying that CO2 is a threat. Go to the Heartland Institute web site and get educated.

Man made global warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people. The Greens and various eco-freaks are lying to support their agenda. Contrary to what these people say..global warming is an uncontrollable phenomenon.

Eco-idiots...Explain the Ice Ages we have gone through. Why did the entire earth freeze over? Lack of Co2? Why was the temperature an average of 20 degrees warmer ALL OVER the world millions of years ago? Must have been the dinosaurs industrial revolution that caused it.

YOU ECO_FREAKS ARE LIARS AND YOU WILL BE EXPOSED.

The money that Al Gore makes giving these lectures is negligable compared to what he would make in the private sector. While I understand your concern for the motives of someone who is paid to speak on an issue, have you any concern for the fact that the scientists who did the research that Al Gore speaks on come from different governments, private research groups, and generally get paid small amounts, while ExxonMobil has paid out a whopping 8 MILLION to any scientist willing to refute or cast doubt on global warming? Do you doubt their motives? Are you concerned for the fact that the oil industry, who is interested in keeping the status quo which benefits them, has an enormous lobby in our government, and they are attempting to block any science which might cause their profits to dip? It seems to me that to question Al Gore's motives without questioning the motives of people who are SOLEY concerned with their profits, and are known polluters who take advantage of third world peoples, is not only partisan but very foolish and dangerous thinking. I expect better from a conservative like you, as the conservatives in my family base their conclusions on facts rather than emotional scare tactics and do not support people soley because they dislike their opponents. Global Warming has been recognized by the entire world as a Human-Caused problem, including George W. Bush and Congress. What is YOUR motive? This is certainly not a scam, and I am curious to know how much research you have done on the issue, or if you care at all that NO time in the billions of years of Earth's history has the climate changed so quickly and destructively, as proven by ice core samples and other unquestionable scientific methods. If you would only trouble yourself to READ, you would find much proof, produced by unconnected parties world over, on the destruction now being wrought by the excess CO2 in the environment. CO2 is a direct product of fossil-fuel burning. I feel that no responsible conservative should make a statement like this without researching his opponent's position, as well as seeking to find out who is PAYING the people he believes. Why would you buy your environmental science from an oil company? Wouldn't they be sure to distort facts to prolong their ability to make profits? Again, I expect better from a conservative. This is conspiracy theory nonsense!

co2 is not a pollutant. as for oil companies buying out scientists to refute global warming it could just as well be a case of reverse psychology. second I have yet to see anything on tv or weather channel or other media like newspapers refuting manmade global warming. so if the oil companies are supposed to be refuting it with big bucks where is their so called propaganda? why isn't the tv news and magezines and newspapers just flooded with refutes to manmade global warming?. all the magezines like national geographic (which is alot more political then when I was a kid and used to read it at my grandmas house). and other sources are not even considering the other side of the coin.

no I think this oil companies paying scientists to refute is a lie. it is probably a smear campange to make manmade warming more feasible in people's minds. they are not ready for co2 taxes yet everything is not in place yet the us and britain dual world power is not ready to totally advocate the united nations (who would get the taxes) in fact they are probably already implementing the Lost treaties and other treaties just not blabbing about it to people. it seems the government is implementing things getting it going then only after in full swing getting laws and treaties signed to fully justify it. then and only then do we hear about it.

I noticed they never said anything about Lost since that one day, they haven't said whether it passed or not, so I am guessing it did. I havent' seen it anywhere. the best way to get change (to accomplish agendas that work against the best interests of people) is crisis, oil crisis, war, enviromental disaster crisis, etc all to get people to accept a lowering of their standard of living and giving up their rights little by little. after all our freedoms and god given rights stand in their way of their godships over us.

Anyone with a brain or is not brain dead would realize that to keep putting pollutants into the earth, air and water would eventually have an adverse effect. The theory of global warming came along long before Al Gore spoke about it. People that cannot see what pollutants are doing to this planet are like ostriches with their heads in the sand. If a bird poops in his nest eventually it is going to reek. Use a little common sense and listen to what the scientists say about it. They have studied it for years. There are a gadzillion of ways to make money. I am sure he could be more creative than this one if that were his only agenda. Use your brains people.

Gore is just a spokesperson presenting the majority opinion of most of the world’s climate scientists. The IPCC just issued its most severe warming and dire prediction for the existence and consequences of anthropogenically-induced climate warming.

Be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. 11/22/08 in higher area in PA it's 58. There is some climate change going on. Gore's first book was poor. Second little less low quality because of pictures added. Gore doing his thing from the pulpit like thousands of other hustlers.

Forget Al Gore.. and despite Al Gore.. Wake up people.. look around you.. it is happening, it really is. Global warming is a fact but there are some who will still drive their big cars, cut down our forests and pollute our waters and then ask.. "how did this happen".

The evidence for global warming far outweighs the evidence against it. . .just ask the Nobel Committee.

I guess Al is smarter than the average bear!
I always liked to hear him say in his stage acts,....er.. I mean his speeches, that "I am doing these things to raise awareness".
Funny, not to help the problem but just to "raise awareness". Perhaps because there is no solution? Or Crisis? Or problem? Or simply the fact that mother earth is going to do whatever she wants to.
