What is the perfect baseball food?
In other words - what one thing would you consider essential to eat during a baseball game to complete the experience?
Personally - it's the hotdog - a little mustand and a little kraut.

I think hotdog is the perfect food to bring to any game, of any sport.

Hot dogs are great, but I have to vote for a bag of peanuts in the shell and a cold beer (or three). here's why:

The average baseball game takes about 3.5 - 4 hours these days, what with pitching changes, batters stepping out of the box, etc.

A hot dog doesn't last me very long. It's delicious, but it goes down fast. So what do I do after I down the dog in 3 minutes? Become Kobayashi, the great hot dog eater? if I ate hot dogs all game, I would have a stroke on the way home from the chemicals and cholesterol!

Peanuts (assuming you're not allergic) are yummy, healthy and best of all they take a long time to eat. And beer, well, you have to wash them down with something, right?

The hot dog (dressed however; Chicago style is always good) is the obvious choice, but I'm going to go with a bag of roasted peanuts. They take longer to eat, they're fun, they are less messy on the hands, and they leave that huge, satisfying radius of shell debris all around your seat, which provides an authoritative crunch when trod upon, and offers a preferred alternative to the sticky or splashy spots.

You have to eat a hotdog. They're always better at a ballpark.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm going to have to go with you on the hot-dogs...those and an ice cold Diet Coke make me think of baseball season. When I'm watching the games from at home, I always pop those little hot dogs in the oven and eat them while I watch. Nachos are pretty good, too. I like foods that are crunchy. BBQ Chicken is good as well. Its a food I like year-round and espeically during baseball season. It can get a little messy, though! And if I'm at a game, then definiltey peanuts! They last for quite awhile and they're good to nibble on throughout the game.

A hot dog is a MUST and around the seventh inning I always get a salty pretzel. Soaks up the beer I already drank and thirsty for more
