For some strange reason, when I walk into a store and here the man ringing his bell, and look at all the christmas decorations and gifts, it slightly puts a knot in my stomache, like Oh God, it's a new year, or is this what christmas is all about?
I hear people talk about their christmas list for gifts, and I wonder what is the true meaning of it anymore?

Nope, I don't really get depressed. Well I get sad for others to tell you the truth. I'm sad for other people who might not get any presents, or food, or just have a nice Christmas in a nice warm home.
I'm one lucky girl I must say. So when the guy ringing his bell and stuff or there's those little donation thingies depending if I'm not completely broke I usually drop a few dollars in and stuff. And since I play the flute, piccolo, and phife I plan to play at my mothers Nursing Home for the people there, cause I feel bad for them especially when nobody visits them. I also sometimes play for other people like at the hospital and soem stuff like that. So I do bring a smile to people's faces with the best thing, in my opinion a person can enjoy. Music.
Other than that I'm usally happy and hyper around the holidays.

Although it's an exciting time for me..it's always a little sad but for different reasons than one you wrote. My mother passed away Dec. 20, 2003 and each year as Christmas approaches I think about it. I am excited b/c of the family that's here and the love we share, but I always will miss my mom and those wonderful Christmas seasons we shared! :)

Yes that really popular for me since I am bipolar and single mom and I think most of the time that I can't get really good gifts for my two wonderful boys. But this year I am in good spirits I was lucky to have a big check and I spend it on good gifts for my two boys to replace alot of stuff that they outgrew. Also that I have a boyfriend it help me out a little. I am good spirits this year then ever. But I do love my boys very much and I am happy to spoil them this year..

I do not get depressed for myself but for all the people who run around all excited about the parties, the gifts, the worry of getting everything done, the ones who forget why we celebrate Christmas. I focus on the birth of our Lord and all that it means to mankind to have a Savior. I'm sorry for those who miss the real meaning!

Yeah I get a little sad because I miss my mom. She died in 1997 and so many of my happy Christmas memories involve her. I just wish she was here physically still and the holidays just are a reminder sometimes.
