Do Casting Directors conduct Role Call on set...?

Casting calls are normally not held on set because they are done long before the set is ready. Massive casting calls for movies (and reality shows) are held by teams of people. Final calls for supporting roles in shows and movies are done by the Director of the show with the Casting Director acting as assistant and advisor. In movies, the casting director and agency do the casting for those actors who have small speaking and non-speaking character roles plus extras.
