The same question I asked Dell. You can not use anything to clean your screen and a computer but damped with plain water soft cloth which is well squeezed. The cloth shouldn't leave any lints. That's it.

Nope you're wrong!
Are you talking LCD screen? I have to agree with Irina N that water is the best way to go with. Never use cleaning solutions that are not intended for bare LCD screens as they will just make thing worse.
Grab a very soft tissue or paper towel, dip it into a warm water (not too warm) then squeeze it to remove excess water, wipe clean your screen (a little rub may be required depending how tough the dirt) then wipe it with a dry lint-free cloth. Make sure you remove any dust beforehand otherwise it may get scratched (an air duster will do the trick).
Normal monitor screen? you can use pretty much anything
;p

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

I have seen screens trashed from using paper towels and Windex.
Use a soft cloth, cotton or microfiber are good, dampened with a little water. Use bottled water if you live in a hard water area.
If you have greasy fingerprint then use a soft soap solution, Plain liquid hand soap is good.
Anything designed for cleaning computer screens or for eyeglasses should be O.K.
Do not use paper towels. They are actually abrasive and can damage screen coatings.
Do not use any household chemical cleaner. You do not know what is in it.
Do not use dish detergent, it has abrasives in it.

it may be $15 at ultimate purchase, yet you get what you pay for. Monster* show cleanser comes with a microfiber fabric and is via far the ultimate subject i've got ever used. I enormously propose it. it is likewise a gel-like fluid, yet does not go away a residue. You in no way might desire to complication approximately it working down into the device. The above innovations sound great, yet remember - going against manufacture suggestion voids a guaranty. in the event that they see that a video show grew to become into ruined via making use of something that wasn't made for it - you're out all that funds. desire that helped!

You can use a lint free duster and wipe screen so the dust has been removed, then use a damp cloth (pref cotton type) and give a wipe and then finish off with the lint free duster to dry it.
If you buy a cleaning kit, your only wasting your money.

There is special screen wipes that you can buy. Or just try getting a slightly damp flannel or something and wipe it over and then dry it off with a piece of paper towel or something.
