If as Steve McClaren says he is a better manager now than he was 18 months ago , and he has just made a complete hash of managing the England team ,how come he got the job in the fist place ?
Is the answer the selectors who are better manager selectors now than they where 18 months ago?

i think they are a pair of plonkers for a couple of reasons, 1 for thinking that between them they could be strong enough to handle the FA and the players, 2 for trying to change things so drastically and expecting the country and the FA to accept those changes. the fans in this country want it all ways, they want good entertaining football, they want us to win all games at all costs and they want the players in that they want, now if you try to give them this, and we all know they can't have all of it, but if we try to give them all of this then the FA will be upset because the management team are not doing it the way the FA want. Until we get a manager who can stand up to the players and the FA we will go nowhere except down, actually maybe that is wrong, i don't think we can go down any lower. take care and good luck.

Terry was not a plonker my friend he was a very frustrated second in command. He would have made an fine manager had he been choosen for the post.
Please let us move on as the post mortem will go on for ever if we let it and we have to build a new team that can bring back the glory days of Enlgish Football.
What I say is get rid of the old foggies on the board of the FA and inject new ideas into a very dreary and staid FA.

Faults on BOTH sides. I blame players more than McLaren.
Answer me this.... How can McLaren be blamed by the OWN goal in the first Croatia vs England game ? The players are more plonkers than McLaren
By the way Mourinho has just this morning let us all know that he is NOT interested in becoming England manager. Hardly surpising... what serious manager would want to have those players to manage ? LOL !!

Dont lay the blame at TV's door....He had no say on who SM picked, ultimately it is solely SM's responsibility. I know TV, hes a good bloke, he should have been given the job back 18months ago...We would have qualified after the first 8 games.
