While the DVB-T Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting System is called FreeView there are some pay services on the network after a channel scan the following pay channels may show up in the EPG Line-up.

CH.17 UKTV GOLD
CH.26 UKTV Style
CH.33 Eurosport UK
CH.34 SETANTA SPORTS
CH.38 Topup TV Anytime 1
CH.39 Topup TV Anytime 2
CH.40 Topup TV Anytime 3

Setanta Sports is available on any Mediaguard© enabled receiver ie. with a card slot

The other channels are the Top-Up TV Line up, You will have to buy a Top-Up Tv receiver to watch the service

I assume you have tried the obvious. Go to www.freeview.com and insert your postcode. You will then see which stations you can receive.
I am in a low signal area and suffer the same. I have updated my TV to a Digital Plasma - I cannot get all freeview channels - but can get more than on my old set.
I have a friend who had the same problem. He installed an aerial signal booster (mains operated). This helped. Do not go for a Mickey Mouse Booster (i.e. battery operated). Rubbish. Argos, Gultronics do a mains one for around £25.

ALL THE BEST. GOOD LUCK.

Does the box have a card slot for "TopUp TV"? Or have you set it to scan for encrypted channels? There are only about 30 or so free Freeview channels. Check Radio Times.

your probably running off a anologue aerial so you dont get the programes. most programes are digital so you have to upgrade your aerial for the best dont use indoor aerials that are digital un less you are in range within 20 miles of the transmitter .
