This is just to prove a point to some annoying person i know lol, if i change my IP range will it change my IP address?
i'm pretty sure it doesn't but this is just to prove a point,

No way your ip address is from your internet service provider, they assign you one ip address so that you can connect to there servers to change this ip address you must phone up your internet provider.
Your IP Range however is to do with the DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol, when computers on your network connect to the router it automatically assigns an ip address from a range of ip addresses for example 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.225, this is a private ip address and can not be seen on the internet.

Probably the best thing to do is try
Change your IP range and then head to some site like http://ipswift.com to see if your IP has changed
I have a feeling your connection will just drop though

If you change your IP range, you will change your settings to your IP address. Your IP address is set in your router, and that's the IP your ISP gave you, so you'll lose connection altogether if you do.

What do you mean by "change my IP range?" Are you talking about the IP range of a DHCP server? If so and you change it to something outside the range that includes your current IP address, of course your IP address will change!
If that's not what you're talking about, please explain what you mean.
