I like pretty much everything, depending on what it is. But I mostly like categories involving rock and the like, as I am a fan of the Japanese band Nightmare, as well as MSI and Gorillaz.

Like you, I like just about every genre. Maybe not elevator music. Gorillaz is awesome!!! For me, blazin' Hip Hop and Rap are definitely not dead yet. Love Classic Rock and Rock, Pop and other genres from just about every decade: 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today. There are so many forms of music out there to explore - World music, country music, patriotic music, techno, funk, heavy metal, punk, grundge, alternative, classical, jazz, gospel, folk, R & B, holiday music, scores to musicals and movies, beautiful music format, love songs, ethnic, etc... I have recently rediscovered Celtic and Celtic blended with other genres. So, as you can see, it would be impossible to call any one genre "favorite", why limit yourself?

First and foremost, jazz, with "jam bands" (Phish, Frank Zappa, etc.) a disant second. But outside of that, I'll listen to almost anything that's not mass-produced or payola-reliant, and I case by case everything else.
