It must occur naturally, since we get it from inkwells!

Seriously, ink found in fountain pens, ball point pens, etc is man made, but there are some naturally occurring materials (plant juices etc) that can be used, but i don't think it is done on a commercial scale.

no, i think it is natural since it either comes from an Octopus or Trees.
