Well im thankful for my family and my friends and my dogs and puppies
but when i started to think about what im thankful for i realized that today is pretty much the only day i actually think about what im thankful for and being an American i should be thankful for a lot of things and i should say i am thankful for all the extra things i have like cell phones and TVs more then i do and maybe not use them as much as i do
just thought I'd add that

We dont really do thanksgiving over here!!
But if i had to be thankful for anything it would have to be that although i may be going through alot of s*** for the last few years i am healthy!!

I am so so thankful to have my lovely husband, my brother, his daughter, and his wife still.....after losing my dear Mum recently and my Mum in Law.
Apart from my husband my only family live 12500 miles away and this year I am very very thankful to be travelling to see them very soon.
I am in the UK - happy thanksgiving over there.

I noticed that the more comfortable a life people have, the less thankful they are. It amazes me to see truly struggling people so thankful. I think being thankful is a coping mechanism for the hardships we encounter in life.
