I attend the "Maciprisa" ( A Contest here in the city )
I am the representative for the poster making category,
its my first time to use the 'water color in tubes',
i failed to win in the contest because i did not mix the color very well, its so hard to use, i need some techniques and some advices

It is good to get to know your paints first, some will be more saturated or more opaque than others. You could try testing each of them to make a chart of colours, draw a black line in permanent marker behind each square of colour so you can see opacity.

You need a watercolor palete. First you place some paint, each in its own compartment in the palete. Leave it dry for a couple of days. When mixing you paint you should use the dried paint in your palete. Also, when mixing paint the main ingrediant should be water. Watercolor is meant to be transparent. Usually you don't paint over one color with another. I like to use a dropper to get small pools of water for mixing my colors. It's hard to give this kind of information in writing. I think you should take a class in watercolor.

on a palete or water plates for mixing and different looks at same thing..glass works good because you can see from both sides...
