I'd like to congratulate LITY on his movement to the very top of this section. He more than deserves it.

COPAS - Ya, I have 288 on record saying "I think we're weeks away from when LITY will end up taking top spot. I'll bet he'll do it before the 6th." That was MUCH faster than everyone thought; he's just that good.

What about my 'don't choose me' campaign?

You know, I never knew how people knew my standing until today. I never knew there was a list attached to the Bob's avatar. I just figured Bob was king (and still is as far as I'm concerned) but I just clicked on the list and Bob's only 4 behind me, Zap and PuckDat aren't too far behind. I'm more surprised at who's not there
-no Erica
- no TB Lightning
- no cyrenaica
- no Wings Fan
- no Formerlysuspendedguy
- no Snoop
- no Habitant

I'm surprised Lubers is as low as he is, and Zam, and FlamesFan, etc. I was sure you all had more best answers than what's listed

and who's the guy with the Sabre's avatar? I've never seen him answer a question!

Bob
It's always been my belief that there should be a lottery for the first overall pick and all teams should be eligible for it. Especially as expansion continues. Why penalize a team in the draft for finishing first overall?

In 1970, if you finished first overall, you got the 14th pick. Today, you get the 30th pick.

I believe that a true lottery for the first pick (all other teams would pick in reverse of standings put finising last would be no guarantee of success) would create more excitement.

Why shouldn't John Tavares have as much a chance of getting picked by Detroit as he does playing in Phoenix?

Of course, as you mention, I do believe that the Black Hawks should get the two highest ranked North American junior players within a 2000 mile radius of Chicago (so we would have missed ut on Scott Gomez - but I think we got everybody else!) EVERY year.

But that's just me thinking aloud.

Well deserved. I am sure LITY has forgot more about hockey than I will ever know. Although he seems to forget very little. I am honored to be in his presence most times.

LITY for commish. Let the campaign begin. Actually, I think his first order of business may be giving the Hawks the top pick every year so forget that thought.

288 didn't say nothing! It was 2eighty.....FIVE!! Yeah, that's it! That clone rat bastard....lol

Congrats LITY. As I said before, you deserve every one of those best answers. As for that Sabres logo guy, ask Bob. He was there during that fallout.

LITY, are you saying the NHL should adopt the NBA's draft lottery? The one thing that Bettman did bring to the NHL is the playoff format (1st seed vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, etc, etc). If the NHL does do this, should it be every team has an equal chance at the first pick, or the last place team has a higher chance than everybody else?

lity for commish huh bob, not a bad move as long as he goes by like I'm telling you who i am as his official name. add something to the game if you have a mysterious figure in place. doubt the first order would be the draft pick it would be the 82 games against the wings. and i think i saw habitat answer something the other day not sure though (other day being with in last month)

Congrats.

And the Sabres logo guy.. now that's a story. He would answer a few questions, not very well, and vote himself best answer (probalby using multiple accounts). Eventually Bob beat him, so he then used bob's avatar and renamed himself Bob Loblaw... don't know why. Then he just got rid of his name altogether and eventually adopted the symbolic name.

Habitant- where has he been now that you mention it? I remember when he was the top guy...

I was gonna mention LITY's don't choose him campaign but he beat me to the punch.

LITY: I think that guy with the Sabre stuff is the guy formerly known as Habitant and fake Bob Loblaw.
