Perhaps a little grebby, but I tend to spit on my finger and spread it over the glue.......urgh! I kept getting papercuts on my tongue which reeeeeally hurt! I prefer the pre-sticky ones if I can get them.

Always buy the ready-made sticky ones! It was a wonderful idea that took a long time coming.

Of all the things there are that one can lick, stamps and envelopes are two of those that I try to rule out of my life by buying self-adhesive types of both ! ! !

Licking stamps and envelopes...urgh!
Leaves a foul taste in your mouth and your at risk of cutting your tongue!
I always buy the self seal things....much nicer!

i have ones i got to lick,but im buying pre sticky to do xmas cards.(everytime you lick a stamp you consume 0.1 of a calorie).cheers always ;)

I damp the envelope a little then tape it close....with the stamps too.
