Wind beneath my wings, by Bette Midler.
Colour of the wind, by Vanessa Williams.

'What you won't do for love' by Bobby Caldwell. It was a hit in 1979, but has gone unnoticed by lots of people even though it's been covered about 70 times. Very nice, jazz-like song!
Have a listen!

Motherless Child, any version is fantastic. My favourite at the moment is by indie group the Love Spirals.
