My boyfriend and I have been talking about where to live outside of california and he suggested Oklahoma. He has relatives out there. And they live in Shawnee Oklahoma. I told him I never wanted to live in that state because they have tornadoes and twisters and all kinds of other things. But he said not in the location his relatives live in. They've never experienced one while they have lived there. But I don't think it's true that there are no tornadoes in that area. There are tornadoes ALL over Oklahoma aren't there? California as far as I know is one of the only states that doesn't ever get tornadoes like that only small little dirt devils. We have earthquakes and fires the worst.

Anyone live in Shawnee Oklahoma can tell me if he's right or not? about there not being tornadoes in that part.

Tornadoes is one of the reason's why I suggsted just staying in california.

I lived in that region most of my life. I've never heard of Shawnee getting tornadoes. Oklahoma City seems to be worse about getting them. But if you can endure earthquakes, you can handle tornadoes. AND, they're a helluva sight to see.
