The Sporting News picked the Rangers to be 5th n the East and 2nd in their division
The Hockey News picked the Rangers to be 1st in their division, and 2nd in the east.
I do not know of any expert outside of NYC (and even Stan Fischler (who's a LOT older than I am) didn't pick them first) who picked them to be the #1 seed in the East.
I do know several experts who did pick them to beat Ottawa in the Eastern Final though.........

OK well when u asked this question u weren't looking at the standings but right now we are tied with the fly boys for the lead in the division Henrik lundqvist has played like Patrick Roy and the offense is starting to find its groove u knew it was going to be hard with Gomez and drury coming in learning a new system new guys new coach and the pressure of the big stage that is new york we will be fine and we will finish 1st or 2nd in the conference and hopefully win the cup LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
