Famous Greek Americans

Of all these, only 10 % have Greek origin 100%. The rest are hybrids of Greeks who immigrated to the U.S and come from Greek intermarriage with other races specialy european . Having from 10% to 50% of Greek blood. Very few U.S. citizens 100 % Greeks are famous. Maybe talking 10 or 15 people . Dukakis is 100 % Greek . Spiro Agnew had 50 % Greek ancestry and was not Greek. For Dean Skelos of New York i know that is 100 % pure Greek . There are too many American citizens 100 % Greeks that are important personalities but not famous . But the person 100 % Greek with the greatest strength is not in the U.S but in Argentina in 1982 . T.General Cristino Nicolaides, Chief of staff of the Argentine Army. This is the greatest position of the 20 century that had a person of 100 % Greek origin in the history of the Greek immigration and probably will not ever see a similar case in the future.

Hey you forgot the most important man.
LEONIDAS
He started making fine chocolate in Chicago. Then he took them to the World Fair in Belgium almost 100 years ago. They liked them so much that he opened a shop there. Today the whole world thinks Leonidas chocolates are Belgian :) But originally the man who created them was a Greek man who moved to the USA.

I can tell you that “artists”, actors, musicians, etc… are very popular in Greece as in any other country of the world. “O laos thelei tragoudia”
Oups I ‘ve forgotten footballers... sorry lol

Scientists, doctors, professors… we remember them only when we need them. “Stay away from us” (“makrya apo mas”). This also includes people that consider themselves as “educated”.
