First you will need to get it to a shop with OBD II testing equipment. WIth the sympoms you are giving, im inclined to think it is the throddle position sensor, the OBD test will be albe to tell what is wrong. If you are able to get to a advance or autozone, they will do a test for free, or if you know someone who has a scanner. Just be sure to get the codes from their scan. Most shops charge anywhere from $60 to $80 just to do a scan.

I would first take it in for OBD2 testing. But, I would say that you may have a problem with an oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensors control that air fuel mixture that is ignited in the engine. If your mixture is too lean(too much air, not enough gas) you would experience those symptoms.

ypu will have to have the vehicle checked with a diagnostic scanner to find the problem. There are many different things that will make the Check engine light come on.

Hard to say, you should get the (OBDII) test at your trusted shop, and they should be able to tell you what it is...and the price to fix.

It could be a common O2 sensor but it can be somthing much more exensive...

Good luck.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET YOUR VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THE PROBLEM IS FIRST SO THEN YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT IS WRONG AS WELL AS WHAT TO EXPECT.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR ANY CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE PERSONAL SERVICE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE.
