Id been on a night shift once and didnt get home until 8am. I went straight to bed and at 9am someone knocked on the door. I was fuming. When i got to the door it was a guy coming to measure for carpets. I let him come in sweat his b0llocks off measuring up the whole house and when he's finished i told him he had the wrong house!

Yeah, I've had. One day a woman called me and seemed rather offended that I couldn't recall her name and that I didn't want her to know where the rest of my family had gone for vacation. She wanted me to pass a message or something to them, and called me by my name and spoke with me like she'd known me for ages since I was born or something. Finally she agreed to call a couple of weeks later, and we were already about saying good-bye to each other when I suddenly told her that actually there might've been a mistake. She seemed rather relieved after that, "my aunt Galia from Ukraine".

Yes, you won't believe this, but last week. This person rang my mobile and asked to speak with, who i thought was my son (same name), I told her he wasn't here and we chatted away. I told her my son would ring her tomorrow. Which he did. Turns out, they are in the same profession, same first name, but completely different person, who happens to have a mobile number 1 digit different from mine. She had simply dialled the wrong number. She apparently had a good laugh, as did my son and I. :-)

my friend then started blabbering incoherent stuff before saying wrong number in a tamil accent.

Only once when I worked for our local newspaper, poor old dear thought she had got through to the library, I had to put her straight in the end up.
