R&S is probably the most intolerant section on Y! Answers with Politics running a close second. Any troll with a resentment can report a violation. I'm glad your aunt made it through.

Yeah, I know it's utterly ridiculous. I remember posting a message last year wishing a Happy Christmas to everyone who had to work on Christmas Day and I received a violation notice because it wasn't a question!! If I were you I would appeal the violation. Hope your aunt feels better.

Sounds like the right place, the religion section anyway.
I will wish your Aunt a speedy recovery, my prayers don't ever seem to work that is another story.

there are those whose motto seems to be "the lines are our friend, we must stay within the lines" who might have reported your post as 'not a question'...experience and a healthy dose of cynicism leads me to suspect that it was not the 'form', but the 'content' that caused someone to take offense...prayer is a dirty word for some...as proof, read some of the hateful and often disgusting comments that get posted to similar questions...

I pointed out that someone (a man saying he was a woman) was asking very dubious questions in the Womens Health section. I too got a violation warning.
Most irritating is that if you get one, you have no recourse to reply.

I'm not really familiar with the rules, so I can't really say. But if it was a request rather than a question that could be the problem. I'll pray for your aunt though, I'm sure she'll be fine.

Did you post the prayer request as a question, if you didn't, some ****** decided to report you....My prayers are with her...Hope she recovers quickly.

hmmm...maybe you should have asked in the form of a question?
Or maybe they didn't like your post for some reason or another. I don't pray or believe in any deity of any form but do wish your aunt well.
