brakes has nothing to do with the kind of transmission you have. They will last as long as your driving habits warrant.

The life expectancy of brakes depends on the driving habits of the driver more than anything. Some "ride" the brakes too much which causes overheating of the brakes and premature wear. Auto/standard transmissions have very little effect on the brakes.

if u use a standard transmission right they last the same... but if u use the motor to slow u down(down shifting) alot then they should last longer... but over time it is hard on the motor if u rely too much on mostly the motor.
