Why don't people cook their own family thanksgiving anymore? Why do they always rely on grandma or someone else either friend or relitive? Isn't anything humbly made anymore?

Because nobody wants to waste all day cooking a horrible dinner that nobody appreciates anyway.

life isn't as simple as it used to be. one year i bought everything pre cooked because i was pregnant mother of 1, working (on thanksgiving) and didn't have close family i could ask to help. rather than not have a thankgiving dinner because i would of been so tired to make it, i bought a pre cooked dinner which was awsome and saved me the labor of preparing it. (i still had to warm it up) don't judge people on how/when they cook their dinners thanksgiving is a time of reflection, to get together with your loved ones to give thanks for being blessed, it is not about a turkey.

I guess it depends on who you know. Cooking in my family is very important. Everyone brings something to the table. But in this day and age it is just so much easier and faster to get things pre-made. People's priorities have changed.
