Hehe...I snuck out of work at Target tonight, and my boss called, and said when I get back it'll be like working for Walmart...what could that mean? (I am 100% serious, this is a real situation)

Now...since I'm gonna hear a lot about "Oh you shouldn't sneak out of work blah blah" well it was only fair, They promised that everyone would leave at the same time and that we would all pitch in to work in all areas, well...after the floor was done they sent me to the backroom and then started sending floor people home...yea, way to keep to the word. So I snuck out...

And what confuses me is that workin for Target already sucks, I'd bet Walmart is identical to Target except the color is blue instead of red...Target just has better brand marketing so everybody thinks they are great. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

hahahah.... thats a funny story, it sounds like you have a good grasp of things. Don't take crap from a boss that lies to you, call them out on the lie.

well first of all if you were working at walmart, you would have been fired for "sneaking out"..you let your customers with no customer assistance and your associates left trying to do your work.,now i happen to like target and walmart both, target sells alot of items that both walmart and kmart dont sell, but kmart at least in our area dont sell much of anything.our target seems to be able to keep in stock alot better, but we have a super walmart right around the corner that does better business (therefore has a hard time keeping shelves full)...but i will tell you this ..lol if you cant handle working for target..then you certainly couldnt handle working at walmart....with our walmart you either work hard or youll soon be finding another job,its not fair to everyone to let slackers get away with doing nothing....

Maybe your boss has been giving you freedom to do your job without him breathing down your neck and the comment means that he will now be watching your every move since he can no longer trust you to stay where he put you and do what he told you to do
just like Wal-Mart does to their employees.
I worked the overnight shift at Wal-Mart and it was freaky, I would be working away and feel someone watching me. I would look around and my creepy manager would be standing a few rows away just watching me work. I was doing my job, he did not need to be peeking at me but there he was.

Honestly, I don't think there is a difference.

Wal-mart just isn't ask flashy as Target.
So Target seems better.
I suppose
