I went on Alesse (21) this month - started on Day 1 of my cycle (first day of menstruation), a tuesday. Now, you're supposed to get your period once you're done one pack right? I'm almost finished with my first pack, but when I am, it'll still be November...does that mean I'll get my period again this month because the pill is changing my cycle? Or since I just started taking it, am I just supposed to start on a new pack until I get my next period? I'm kind of confused...

Yes, you should get your period after you take the first pack (if it's a pack where you are taking sugar pills the period should come at that time), but sometimes when starting out on the pill the first period can be delayed. The reason this can happen is because the body is trying to adjust to the changes going on due to being on the medication. As for the packs, you keep on taking the entire pack one pill a day if it's a 28 day pack. If it's a pack where you only have 3 weeks of pills then you have no more pills to take til the next week when you start the next pack.

I would recommend calling your doctor as well to get further clarification on the instructions to see what they say.
