Nash, and ima back it up with reason because im a big Suns fan. Quite simply Nash is a better leader than Kobe. Kobe would score on anyone any day of the week, but he is just too selfish. If he was put in a team of scrubs, he would no doubt average 40 a game, but he would not make his team mates any better, because they wont get any touches. Steve on the other hand, he passes, and no only that, he makes passes that make your shot easier. In short, he does make his team mates better. If you rebuild a team around Kobe and Steve and let them do their thing for 5 seasons, and they kept the same team, which team do you think would have the better record and better players? No doubt steve's team would beat Kobe's in almost every category. Steve would get his 18 and 10, and his top 3 team mates around him would be doing about the same. At the end of 5 seasons, Kobe would still be doing his 40 a game and the scrubs would still be scrubs.
No Hate. Honest truth.

Steve Nash. He is not overrated. The question was who would take to lead ur team not who's better. If u put all rookies on a team with Steve Nash. And u put all rookies on a team with Kobe Bryant I guarantee u Steve Nash's team would win more games because he passes the ball way more than Kobe. Plus Steve Nash is a better all around offensive player than Kobe. Steve Nash can score he is the best passer in the NBA by far. He is the free throw shooter and he shoot higher percentages in every catergory than Kobe. The only thing Kobe has on Nash is scoring and thats all. If u don't like Steve Nash then u must don't like basketball because he makes the game so fun. And once again Steve Nash is not overrated. Kobe Bryant may be the best player in NBA but Steve Nash is the best team player in the NBA. Another thing u said that u would take Kobe anytime if u take him anytime all he is goin to do is scorer thats not making the team better because he doesn't pass the ball that much. But if u was to take Kobe over Nash with both rookies on teams Kobe would be the only one scoring one his team. And for u to say that Steve Nash is overrated u must have not seen him play before.

It depends on what the team wants. If a manager wanted a fast break team, he would have a hard time because Steve Nash is the floor general, and Kobe Bryant is a phenominal scorer. I see more leader potential in Nash. If I had to pick the overall better player, I would go hands down Kobe Bryant. The truth is Steve Nash can't play defense.

It seems kobe is finally learning how to play with his teammates and the lakers are winning. So if kobe plays like that i will definately take him. I like defense first teams and that would never ever happen with nash.

I would go with Kobe. As much as Nash has been heralded as a leader and a winner he has not been able to get the job done with two other allstars on his team. Previously he even had a future MVP on his team and they got better after Nash left. He's a nice distributor but a defensive liability.
Kobe has shown he's willing to subjugate his game in order to win. He has three rings doing just that and will most likely gain a gold medal for the same reason. The reason he's labelled selfish is because he has not had reliable teammates until possibly this year. He can guard anyone on the court 6'8" and under and he can score at will. He can basically do anything offensively his team needs him to do. If he were asked to be point guard on a team of proficient scorers he'd make Nash's assist numbers look sick.

While Kobe has more natural and athletic ability I would CERTAINLY take Nash. He is a proven leader. He not only can score but he does something Kobe has never heard of PASS THE BALL. Nash has lots of talent and proven leadership skills.

Kobe is excellent, one of the best single players ever to be in the league, especially when his team is constructed to support him.
Nash, however, is consistent, and is always capable of supporting the team behind him, or leading them forward.
I'll take Nash. Basketball is still a team sport.

If all the players could be redrafted do you honestly believe there is one GM who would choose Nash over Kobe? Nash is a point guard; of course he's a better distributor! Kobe is a 2 guard and his role is to score and defend. No player player has fulfilled that role as thoroughly as Kobe since youknowwho. This is a no brainer. C'mon people please!
