Not at all, heroine, crack, and cocaine are much better.

with the exception of weed, no. Alcohol can be addictive and really really hurt you, unlike weed, but it's not the worst. If you've ever known a coke or meth-head, there are worse hells than that of a full-blown alcoholic. I can't find a single story of anyone dying from weed though. I am sure that more crime is committed as a result of illegal drugs because people are willing to do most anything to get certain, more addictive drugs. If they were legal, I figure they'd be a lot like alcohol but more people would get strung out. we do NOT want crackheads roaming free!

yes,..one reason is that the illegal drugs are illegal b/c the government and the pharmaceutical industry can not make money from the stuff,..second reason, if the government would legalize the stuff, the countries of origin would be far richer than the u s of a and we would not need as many pharmacists,..the legal drugs are worse than the illegal, just look at all the pill poppers going into rite aid, cvs, walgreens and walmart drug stores, can everyone say junkies,..things done in moderation people,..ask william jefferson clinton, the i never inhaled, coochie cigar smokin, poor excuse for a president, and this barak obama, who does not wear the flag anymore for whatever amabokarabi reason, and wants to be president, i think not,..go biden,..back to your question, wine is good for the belly, beer and liquor will kill you quicker, opium, heroin, weed and caine one feels no pain, why do you think the government banned these,..remember, moderation,..hospitals and pharmacists we would only need a few, and we could get back to church sitting in your favorite pew,..

It all depends. As far as marijuana is concerned, alcohol is worse in terms of liver damage, high blood pressure, and cardio-vascular disease. Marijuana if used in moderation isn't too bad for you (and I don't mean every day either). Plus, I have yet to hear or read of a fatal overdose.
With the harder drugs like meth or cocaine or whatever, you're playing a dangerous game. I'd stick to beer if you are even thinking about hard drugs. Not great advice, but if you have to get high, stick with the lesser evils.
Your best bet is to abstain of course. You can't get unhealthy that way.

Alcohol fuels violence on the street and in the home. It plays a part in most murders.
It's still involved in a lot of traffic deaths.
People who drink over the recommended safe limits run a real risk of liver disease. They might die 20 or 30 years before their time.
I don't know much about illegal drugs, but I'd say alcohol was as bad as any of them.

All drugs are potentially bad when abused. Alcohol I believe it is considered even more so because it can threaten other peoples lives. There are several drugs that when used don't have that threat and are not very addictive and they are considered not as bad.

Alcohol is the worst thing you can put in your body during pregnancy. Babies can make full recoveries from pre-birth addiction to crack, heroine...but Fetal Alcohol Syndrome has extreme, life-long consequences. I think it's worse, for more reasons than that.

It is worse in the sense that it is legal and therefore more readily accessible.
Alcohol is a horrible drug.
Have you read the study that wine drinkers in France have a higher rate of cancer.

What is your real question?
Most Policeman would rather face a drunk than a meth monkey or a hyped up crack head any day.
