To compare both manufacters luxury sedan models the S550 and the LS460, the Lexus wins. To be honest Japenese manufacters like Infiniti and Lexus are really outdoing technology in their cars over the Germans these days, which is sad. But to answer your question more thoroughly most car companys offer two diffrent park assist; the back up sensor which senses how close your bumpers are to the nearest object and tells you with "beeps"(the faster the beeps the closer your getting, a steady long tone means Stop your too close), and the other is back up camera which is better than the back up sensor because it gives you a visual of where you are backing up. The mercedes S550 has a backup sensor and camera which is fantastic! but....the Lexus also has those two features and something more. The LS460 is the first car to ever have "Advance Parking Guiding System". Bascially the car can parellel park it self. The system is fully automatic but all you have to do is controll the brake. It acually paralelle parks itself ive seen it! So hands down Lexus has better parking assist than Mercedes, but both car manufacters dont offer these options in all their cars.

saddly no, a lexus can park itself, but lexus is japanese, mercedes is german they stick to more important stuff

what a waste of money if you can't park it you should not be driving it. [this goes for both or any other manufacturers]
