Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

How can someone who says they love God, have a devil in them? If a Devil is Present, do they Love God?

John 10:19,20
There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

Jesus spoke many teachings the jews and pharisees (high religious leaders) did not agree with, they had never heard such teachings, became angry and accused Jesus of having a Devil.

John 10:24
Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

Now this passage below really angered the Jews, how could a man be one with God, they thought him Mad and posessed with a Devil.

John 10:30
I and my Father are one.

John 10:31
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Matthew 10:25
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

In another instance when Jesus was preaching and teaching the jews took up council against him.

Matthew 12:22-28
Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

So, illustrating the fact that God and the Devil cannot abide together, one will kick the other out. If the person is a christian.

You ask if I have a devil in me, I would like to think I don't. The Bible says, "Hear ye the word of God" to be doers not hearers, meaning you need to practice what you preach, don't just read the Bible and expect that to be it, you must obey the Bible.

So, if I have a devil in me, and I am reading the Bible and really trying to serve God, chances are he will flee, something unclean cannot abide in something clean that long. The devil that I am faced with tempts through lots of ways, if I give heed and not resist the devil, of course the devil would be affecting my speech, my actions, my sins, to an extent. But you pray to God, to help you resist the devil. It is not like putting a tire on a car, and not needing to worry about it for 6 months later, it is a day to day struggle.

I am not feeding you a bunch of words trying to conceal your initial question. Your question is wanting a Yes > No response, and this is a topic that really can't be either way. I mean it can be, but What if someone is being influenced by the devil and prayers take that away? It would no longer be the same answer.

I struggle with presumptions of wanting to feel proud, when I know that's wrong, there are times that I think something I shouldn't and I don't want to, because I know it is wrong, I resist the devil in that notion.

If the devil ever gets a hold of me, he is going to regret it because I would rather die in that state than to intentially sin against God. It isn't self-righteous, I know right from wrong and knowing that assumes you follow through with, not do wrong and think no one notices, because even if you get away with something here on earth, God reserves Judgement Day for the 'invincible' .

I do. The Mr. Hyde in me sometimes alternates with Dr. Jekyll. Doesn't the moon have a dark side, too?
