The definition of genius by Websters is "extraordinary intellectual power especially as manifested in creative activity

c: a person endowed with transcendent mental superiority"

What it takes to be a genius..an extreme love of one or more subjects like math or theology or psychology....you get the drift then you learn everything there is to know about those subjects..

BUT note true genius is not learned it just is...like a natural talent..the ability to learn things at a rapid pace and use them in a creative way..TRUE GENIUS

SIDE NOTE; There is studies which say some compounds taken regularly can increase mental abilities...

Genius is something you might call "relative". A person can have stellar abilities at solving the most complex math problems, while at the same time forgetting where they live. Now, it doesn't necessarily have to be that drastic, but I'm sure you get my point. The term "Genius" is a very nebulous one.

An I.Q. test is absolutely no indicator of how "intelligent" someone is. I am strongly opposed to them, as well as state-mandated standardized tests, because not only are they always biased toward what -someone else- thinks is an intelligent person, they're not, in any way, an indicator of one's level of understanding of anything.

Here's my question: Is a genius someone who can do complex calculations and decipher code, or someone who understands things to the point where they can describe them to anyone? I'd lean more toward the latter. It's one thing to do complex thinking, but it's quite another to find the -simple- answers to complex questions.

It's determined by one's IQ level.

It's not an illusion, some people are extremely intelligent.
