Hi, I have a ford fiesta diesel that has done 16k. Now the oil that they are going to put is Mobil1 5w50 Synthetic and they claim that it costs Rs 830/litre. Just wanted to confirm if the price is right and if its worth putting this into the car. They claim better mileage and lower engine noise. Thanks in advance!

Yes it is. It flows well cold so it gets around the engine well on startup and the 50 means it retains its viscosity well at high temperatures. Very well. In the US I have used 5w40, 0w40 and 5w50 in my car for 110,000 miles and it still doesn't burn oil. Mostly Mobil 1, sometimes Castrol Syntec.
