...do we want others to be honest with us?

You can live a life in lies all the time. It might help you get more money, have more friends, get more women into bed, and so on. All this success could make you happier. The downside to this lifestyle would be that you would have to remember which lie who have told whom. And it might confuse yourself, because you would have to switch roles all the time.

If you are honest with others and with yourself, you would not need to remember those things and you could focus more on the things that you do, not on yourself (as in: "how do I appear now", "do I contradict myself" ...).

You could choose the middle path: deceive yourself but only by living on one lie, switching to another role permanently. But first, you should try acquiring that position through working towards it being yourself.

Who else can you really trust to be honest with you.

The problem lies in recognizing that truth and honesty contain liberating affects.

Yes, I'm an alcoholic, or yes I'm a drug addict, are the first steps on the road down such a path.

I am, and I try to, as much as I don't want to. I hate being told that I'm wrong, and with my concience telling myself I'm wrong when I am just annoys me.

But it's wise to be honest to yourself, because it helps you learn more about what type of person you are.

no longer as much as i grew to become into at one time, i grew to become into brutally truthful with myself whilst i grew to become into youthful, I demanded perfection, for sure I discovered that it grew to become into no longer available to realize that purpose. Now that i'm older(and that i'm hoping wiser) I communicate approximately significant subject concerns in my life, yet i do no longer scrutinize each and every action I make to make certain if i'm ok or no longer. life is far less complicated and that i'm happier.
