I have this really old webcam that I got for free, and I would like to use it to chat on the internet with my friends, just for fun, but the software for the stupid thing only works with windows 98 and there are no updates...the computer doesn't seem to recognize it without the software...any ideas? I have XP

Try driverguide dot com and do a search on the model number. Should be able to find the driver. Good luck. If that doesn't work....check compatibility at microsoft dot come. And finally if not that, then spend a few bucks and buy one that is XP compatible.

Hi. You can try removing the hardware in Control Panel, reboot, and let Win XP find the best driver. If it does NOT work you are no worse off.
