I do more because I work less hours. My husband helps keep up on the laundry, he is a fanatic about the floors and he washes dishes. The other things he will do if he knows that I did not get to it but he doesn't like it (the bathroom and dusting) He does all of the yard work and keeps up the cars. He also took care of the kids when they were younger. I work every other weekend so he also cooks dinner on those nights. We usually do the dishes together then. If you work he should do as much as you do. If you don't he still should do more than use the remote. When you stay at home your job is never ending. You don't get to go home at the end of the day and you don't get a day off. Yes kick him into gear. Good luck with that.

Mostly it's the wife that does everything cuz some of them are old fashion. But not all the husband just lay on the couch with a remote control some of them actually help there wife clean and stuff and others do everything for there wife. It depends how you were raised as a kid whether the wife should do everything or the husband.Or if they should share the chores.

My husband and I both do the cleaning... We start in one room like the kitchen and if I do the dishes he will sweep and wipe off the counters. The front room I'll pick up and then he will vacuum (or I'll vacuum and he'll pick up). We clean every room in the house like this except for the bathrooms, I clean one and he'll clean one. That's how are cleaning schedules are, we both work in the same room, that way we will also get to spend time together.

He does a little more than I do, but I try to keep up. We live together now and are engaged and after we get married that is so not going to change.

My father always did more housework than my mother, although she would have her cleaning sprees and my partner's father also did at least half the housework.

Any man who claims it's not manly to do housework is just using it as an excuse, either that or he's so stupid that he believes in traditional gender roles and therefore you must divorce him ASAP. You deserve someone who respects himself and someone who respects you. Any man who believes that a woman's place is in the home while his is that of a provider not only hates you for being a woman, but hates himself as well.

well my parents are divorced but my dad has always helped out in the house for example cleaning, cooking (very good), washing clothes, fixing things etc. some man are just what we call "machistas" and believe that a man should not do those things, that it will take their manhood away.

i think man should contribute to helping out.

My hubby and I split the work, I do the stuff he hates, dishes and toilets, he'll vacuum and do laundry, we both pick up around the house and keep after the kids room.

My opinion, kick him!
