It laid the eggs just above the aquarium water. What should i do with them? If i dont take them out, will they dry out because they are out of the water?

Leave the eggs where they are, momma snail laid them in the right place. When they hatch they will drop down into the water.

Unless you don't want any more snails, then remove them and drop them into a bleach solution to kill them. Or you can drop them in your tank and let your fish have a caviar feast.

Lots of people love having apple snails in their tanks because they grow so large and have beautiful shells. If you end up with more than you can handle, give the babies away to friends when they are about 1/2" in diameter.

The way to keep apple snails from laying eggs is to keep the water level in your tank as high as possible. When the water level drops, that's when they scramble (okay, slowly climb) up beyond the water and lay their eggs.

What you should do depends on whether or not you want the young snails to hatch.

If you do, the eggs have to stay out of the water (if they are in the water, the babies in the eggs will die), but they have to stay humid. You can leave them where they are now, or you can make an incubator where you won't have to worry about knocking them off or raising the water level too high. All you need for this is a clean plactic container with a lid, a plastic mesh (fairly wide holes, like a bag from onions), some water, and a rubber band. Just add about an inch of water to the container, then fasten the mesh over the top with the rubber band. Push down on the center so it makes a dip in the middle, but doesn't touch the water. Carefully scrape the egg mass of the tank and put it on the mesh, then put the cover on the container. The eggs will hatch in 2-3 weeks (depending on temperature). As the young hatch, they'll crawl through the mesh and drop down into the water - then you can collect them and put them in the tank with the mother.

If you don't want the babies, just scrape the eggs off the tank and dispose of them. If you only have the one snail, after a few months the eggs won't be fertile - the mystery snails have separate sexes, although a female can store sperm from a mating for several months.

Take some off the water out and put the eggs in! They will take over the tank if you don't!! See if theres a shop that might buy them off you if you don't want to keep them!
