If u plan on having Vista or you already have vista i would go for the 8600gt but in the other hand the x1950 is a little better depending on which one pro or gt. Pro a lot, gt close but a little better.

Haven't owned the ATI RADEON X9150 but the GeForce 8600 GT is a very nice card for the price. Bought the MSI over clocked version (by MSI) for about $115 and it works very well for World of Warcraft on the highest settings. Frame rate is 60 fps.
You may want to take a look at the Tom's Hardware Guide website to see if they have a comparison and the price/performance information.

DX10 is only usable with Vista so if you have XP you have to go for the Radeon x1950. If you have Vista buy the geForce

GE FORCE 8600 (DX10) IS THE BEST OUT THERE TODAY,..need i say more??
