The Java API docs are your friend...
It shouldn't be too hard, just the regular normal control flow and counters mixed with a few classes and functions from the Java API. I was able to write one in under 10 minutes and about 20 lines of code once I figured out which functions & classes to use. Search around Sun's site using site:java.sun.com on Yahoo or Google.
And as Jim said, don't ask other people to solve your assignments for you. Besides the ethical problems, you could get kicked out of the class or worse.

Please show us what you have already and describe what is confusing to you. I seriously doubt though that your teacher wants the Yahoo Answer community to do your homework for you.
