I haven't spoken to my Uncle in about 8 years. Actually no one in my family has spoken to him in 8 years, not since we found out that he molested one of my cousins. So yeah I know how you feel, I don't like discussing it either. But it really does help to vent how your feeling.

An uncle for 14 years.

Not planning to talk to in the future, either.

You can't change the past. But you can change the future. Think about if something happened to one of them. If you don't care, no worries then. If you think you might care, it might be better to be the bigger person. Nothing can be bad enough that you don't speak to your own Mother the last years of her life. Good luck, Buddy.

Yeah, I had not talked to my Grandpa in 15 years and on monday I got the call that he died and they had the funeral last Saturday. That sucks the big one, I really missed him. Even tho he was my step-grandpa, I loved him with all my heart and it burns that I did not even get to say goodbye

Dude - you need to mend your fences, there are many guilt issues here. Believe me, I have LOTS of issues with my family at times but choosing not to not talk to them over a long period of time will never end well. Eventually someone is going to get ill or die and then you will never have the chance to fix it. Pride and stubbornness are poor excuses for worrying yourself to death. C'mon life is short. Do yourself a favor and be the guy who calls first.
