seen a skateboard before thinks she a skateboarder or "skater chick". I will admit it there are some amazing female skaters, but most cant stand on a skateboard without falling.

skater fashion is 'in' right now because of the soaring popularity of skateboarding. More mainstream stores are selling the skater look. Just a few years the only place to get skate gear was from a skate shop. It's not just girls who desire the look. See how many guys are wearing skate shoes and clothing and probably don't know the difference between a kingpin and a kickflip. These people are considered poseurs by real skaters. Some of these non skaters go as far as carrying around a skateboard with them, with no intention of riding.

IDK. I'm a girl and even I'm not too sure. Perhaps it's that drive to feel as cool and equal to the guys that they know and like. I know that many girls my age(14!) dig skater boys and feel that it would be great if they learned to skateboard so that they could meet up with "cute" skater boys at the skate park. I don't think that, but many desperate girls trying to find their way do. Hope i helped somewhat. :)

um... they dont. They only think they're "skater chicks" if they can stay on the skateboard without falling, even if they're not exactly "talented" at skating, and if they have the "skater" fashion.

Honour lies not in not falling off a skateboard, but in being able get up and get back on the board everytime you fall off! Quitters never win, Winners never quit (the skating board!) ! every teenage girl is a brave person! And, soon going to be highly skilled in skating!

I think you are too full of yourself.
There are lots of excellent female skateboarders around.
Your bad luck you havent come across any of them.
Keep your eyes wide open and you will take back the above statement that you have made

They dont make clothing sufficiently vast to in good shape me. No, i'm not obese, I merely ensue to have been born with length sixteen hips, even epidermis and bones I cant in good shape a length 12. I dont like the prep look. the folk on the shops are snobby. They value thank you to lots for being as value effectively made as they are. Do i could bypass on?

Being a "skater-chick" doesn't have to mean that your good, that its just something you enjoy. People who play sports but aren't good tend to call themselves athletic. Anyway, unless you've seen them skate, how do you know that they aren't good...don't generalize.

i think girls try to be weak and slow sometimes and purpose. and try to look un athletic for some reason. a girl could perform as good as a guy if they worked as hard
we just ran our 40's the other day at school and some girls got like 6.1 just cuz they didnt wanna look tough or something. idk i think its dumb. but then again i cant hardly stand on a movin skateboard lol

your making an assumption. not all girls are like that. but anyways i think some do to make themselves seem cooler and to impress guys basically.
