Lets say - you were given the answers to all that ails the world. Why would you change it? I mean - each day I go out and do what I do and I meet such horrid individuals.

Why should I walk this path? I am not sure I am asking you, but rather I am questioning myself. I mean I know how to create world peace, but why? I never thought of that before...I simply acted and moved toward it without question, but the people???? I see such wretchedness, ugliness, hate, selfishness and more... Why should I not follow in suit? I could be an excellent bad guy LOL Darth Vader has nothing on me if I crossed over to the Dark Side. LMAO

Are is this just a test of the national broadcasting system. This is only a test BEEEEP BEEEEP

Anyway, would YOU? I am serious - I know and understand the steps and measures to create world peace, but - should I and would you?

MKC - it is possible to achieve world peace - a lot easier than it sounds, but I was questioning why?

Small, yes, one not to see things on a grander scale is foolish - how blatant the man who thinks he commands the domain around him.

Predestined does not mean pre-written. I can know that a child will grow up - that is pre-destined, but I cannot say what that man will be.

The nature of adapting has always been our nature and purpose...hence there can be both a Higher Being and purpose to grow with nature. Think of it this way - "I can't wait till my child grows up and we play ball together" My child has to experience growth before he can reach what I want him to be...so, one can look at nature as a form of growth teaching us to reach higher levels. (Excuse my random jibberish)

Oops - TWK - I missed your response - I am curious what you mean by LAKES...presidents change like the wind, but the Lakes?

I would change the American and Israeli President.
I would chage the Lake's condition.
I would change those whom we consider leaders.

Edit: Lakes is the refrence to the dying Lake in our city. It was regarded once as one of the Most beautiful lakes in the World, yes I mean it, World. Very few water bodies compare to it in stark beauty. Its been neglected for long enough, i would love to change it.... And President Bush... AAArgh!

If? When.

I don't need anyone to tell me what ails the world. When I wake up, I don't wake up to perfection. I don't walk outside to a perfect world, and I don't go to sleep each night perfectly serene.

World peace is a delightful idea, but it isn't the answer. Eliminating conflict isn't progress; it's the subject of dozens of terrifying dystopic films. The key is to make conflict a tool of progress. Furthermore, "world peace" is a goal that makes more "former" activists than anything else. World peace is over there, away. Giving up on it isn't as horrendous a feeling as...

Walking away from the starving cat in our parking lot. My former neighbors got a cat, treated it horribly, didn't neuter him and abandoned him. We're a family of profoundly meager means, but we gave up some major things to neuter the newly christened Ferris and take him in. He's sleeping near me right now.

The world is different today. A week ago, a cat slept outside jolted every time someone opened a car door, walked their dog or ate food he could smell but not eat. My world is different because now that cat is learning to sleep without fear, play without worrying the toy will get away and hunger will return, and lean into being petted without being wary for a kick.

Why? I honestly can't image why you wouldn't. If any part of your path is being kind and empathetic, then you can realize it's not just about your path. It's about others' paths, too. Right now, I'm a part of your path by typing this. Every day, you are on the path everyone else around you is walking. They (we) aren't all your landscape.

Would I? Would I stop? I need to sleep at night, and the way I'm built I can't NOT empathize. I'm fully aware this may sting you, for example. I can imagine your exhaustion. However, I can also see how you created a situation which produced that exhaustion.

Go back to the basics. Which adjectives would you like to earn? World peace is great, but it sounds like you need to work on being a person who could live it yourself. You need to check the list you'd make of adjectives you are, and double -check it. You help other beings because they need it and you can provide it. Simplicity, implemented with adjectival persons like kind men, perceptive women, determined men, strong women, patient children and fearless people.

Good question..... having thought for a while, I conclude that I would not want to change the world and let it be as it is... I would just try to change my mindset to adapt effectively.

If one believes in a perfect creator, God, then indeed there is no case to change since the Grand Designer is omnipotent and omniscient and I would only be imparting my imperfection if I went on to change it.

On the other hand, even if I do not believe in a Creator God, I can very well see that the Nature has its own inviolable rules which means that there is a grand order over here whether we understand or not....... our attempts to bend it only results in more misery and imbalance.... we actually need to adapt ourselves to the Nature which ensures our survival and progress.

Yes. We should. If given the chance, we would. I assume everyone dreams of a better world. While most may not agree in one definition, there is still a portion where the world could be better based on one individual.

But this question is not even possible to be achieved.

We are one person and can only help one person at a time.

I read this on the wall of a hospital one time. "To the world she was one person. But to me she was all the world".

I must change myself first in order to cause others to change. But I could I would have them for two weeks out of the month live the golden rule.

Simple simians follow the masses.

It takes great courage and resolve to follow ones own path.

I trust you will find both.
