My dog, Dash, is a dauchsand(sp) terrior. I don't know why he does this, but when he comes in from using the bathroom at night, he runs from one couch that's in my den, to the other that's in my living room. He'll do it for probably 10 minutes non-stop. He runs up the couch and back down and then to the other one.
It's pretty hilarious.

Although I don't own one, but I have seen dogs and parrots do that at my friends' places. Cats too would come near a crying baby of 3 - 4 years and playfully bite their nose and happily mew at them. If closely watched, yes they all express a lot of emotions. Parrots have a habit of mocking at people too, especially in an argument between a couple.

We have 4 cats and each one has a distinct personality and make us laugh for various reasons. One thing that is really cute is that our youngest cat, Chester, will sit in the box window and "chase" the birds. Sometimes he gets so excited watching them dart about in the evergreen tree that he will see his tail twitching and will start chasing that! He runs around and around in circles, then stops and sees another bird and chases that. He'll do this for over an hour.

Yes! My dog is very calm and seems to be trying to emulate a rug most of the time. All of a sudden he will get silly, race around the house, grab a toy he never plays with to toss around and then go back to his blanket and lay down like he had never moved.

My crazy cat does. She has a mental disability that causes her to lose her balance and she is forever running into things and falling over! Its hilarious. She's also super smart and comes when called, knows a few commands, opens doors, and follows people around like a dog. She's 11 years old now, her name is Thistle.

My dog make us laugh every day. He always starts running thru the house and jumps on the toilet and off again (we keep the lid down) when someone is showering, and one day I forgot to close the lid and he jumped right into the toilet. The look on his face was priceless. My stomach hurt I was laughing so hard.

All the time. Our kitten loves to play fetch so he's always bringing me his toys, even dropping 'em on me when I'm trying to sleep, & he acts as if he's got an invisible friend too. Another of our cats fluffs his tail out *huge* every time he jumps onto my lap-- he's obviously not angry or afraid, so I have no idea why he does this. Yet another cat grunts, snorts & rolls over on his back for a tummy rub.
One of our rats meticulously piles her favorite treats in one corner of the girls' cage & places their toys neatly in another corner. Our hairless rat loves the exercise wheel & runs til it shakes loose-- then she runs over to stare @ me b/c she knows I'll fix it for her. All 3 female rats try to jump onto the cats every chance they get (our 2 boy rats are much less adventurous). When we give treats to any of the rats, they run off to stash them & come back for more.
Our guinea pig squeals when the kitten walks past without stopping to visit-- they're great pals & when the pig's in his playpen the kitten hops in for a visit. If we're snacking in the bedroom, our mouse will start banging things around in her cage until she gets our attention, then beg for a treat. She had a cage-mate who lived to be quite old but remained so terrified of us that she'd squeeze her eyes closed whenever she'd take a treat from my fingers & another cage-mate who was so adorably friendly that she'd ignore the treats, hop onto my hand & run up my arm.
I could go on & on...

Yes, all the time. My Chihuahua has a funny personality. If someone hits me he'll try to attack them but the problem is if he doesn't get to bite them he''ll bite me. My male cat likes to suck on a blankie that's just his. That's the only time he'll let me cuddle him or come around is when I'm in bed and his blanket is next to me.

yeah. the cats act crazy sometimes. one of them got scared cuz he got a plastic sack stuck on his leg, so he ran really fast from the back room to the front room and then to another room. i'm sitting in the front room and all of the sudden i see stuff getting dragged across the room and then the lamp fell. it happend so quick that i was like, "what the **** is going on?" the reason why it was so funny is because it looked like the **** was going across the floor by itself. lol
