If you have a talent for listing to people in lets say an empathic way, then yes it is normal. If you believe in triskaidekaphobia then It may cut both ways like a double edged sword. The fear of the number 13 goes back to the early days of Christianity when there were 13 people who attended Christ’s last supper, or it can mean the opposite. In Ancient Mexico 13 was considered to be a fortunate number since it represented the sun.

If you prove your thesis, yes I would consider it note worthy to be published even in the American journal of psychological disorders under the reinvention of Empathic listening precedes secrets revealed for the 21st century.

Actually there are courses taught at Langley,Va. on exactly how to read expressions, body movements, gestures, eye fixation, etc. whither the person knows they are being "read" or not.

I would classify it as empathy. Perhaps it is rare, but it is not as uncommon as you would believe. I do, however, believe we have been "programmed" to suppress it.
