What are the advantages/disadvantages of having a COLLEGE roomate?

good: they share rent and expenses--someone to talk to--a close friend to share things with

bad: could play loud music at all hours--could be a slob--could smell bad and not be clean--could have friends over for party when you need peace and quiet

No roommate is perfect--some are better than others, so ask about any pet peeves BEFORE you sign a lease with them
