i didn't catch that particular episode, but have seen this many times.
What you are talking about is basically a home or school wood shop project. With only a few hand tools, you can build your own.
The critical piece of info you must determine first is the angle of the LCD monitor. Remove the stand and lay the LCD flat on the table you plan to use and turn it on. Then, use books to prop the top edge up until you find the angle with the least background reflection, while seated.
Built the sloped box, using that angle,and drop it into the desktop, and drill a hole for cabling, done!!
