Most of the Green snake being the Rough Green snakes and the Smooth Green Snakes do not do well in captivity.
I would recomend a Corn Snake or a King Snake they are good beginner snakes, the adapt well to captivity and the are calm easy to care for, non-venomous and rarely bite.

i reccommend a ribbon snake, i used to have 2( a male and a female) and they had 12 babies lol, but they make great pets, the males stays really small, and the females stays small, just a little fatter than the male and they eat fish that you can put in a plastic container with water in the cage, they eat about once a week and like any other snake as long as you hold them regularly they will be calm:) good luck

The green snake is the green tree python or emerald boa i wouldnt get one for a begginer because they are fragile and you cant pick it up for about a year. I would get some type of python because they are easy to look after, i have a stimpson python and he is really cool. Also corn snakes are very popular.

Both corns and ball pythons make good first snakes. Just do a lot of research on care before getting one--there are some great websites available out there.

Ball pythons are the most docile snake you can get. It is esy to care for and is very easy to handle. They require a habitat and a heat source, and live food.
