i too k my clown fish out and put him in a holding tank he looks to be only survivor besides crabs and shrimp thanks for all the advice im not sure where to go from here don't want to put fish back in that water and nothing is open right now

Do a 30%-50% water change with a siphon to remove as much waste buildup as possible... As poop and food decays, it produces ammonia, which leads to nitrite, and eventually nitrate. The only way to prevent a massive buildup of these compounds is through religious water changes, especially in saltwater... Do your weekly maintenance and you should be able to avoid these problems in the future... Also, check for any dead fish or inverts that could be adding to the issue, and remove them from the tank...
