Mellisa you are so thoughtful! I do live in the mid west, Kenosha, Wi where are you?? I will be spending Thanksgiving with a wonderful friend who is 84, an artist who still teaches at the Kenosha Museum, and her friend/my new friend is cooking for us. So it will be lovely and take my mind off the fact that my daughter made sure that I would not see my son for this holiday or the next. God can take the bad and turn it to good! Have a blessed Holiday with your family, Mellisa! Thank you for including me in your ya family!
I AM ALSO GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE FRIENDS I AM MAKING ON SENIORS YAHOO, SO MANY TALENTED, INTELLIGENT, HUMOROUS, CARING, THOUGHTFUL , GENEROUS PEOPLE. I WILL BE INCLUDING YOU ALL IN MY THANKSGIVING PRAYER THIS YEAR AS YOU ALL ARE TRULY A BLESSING!
Bassetfr: I live on the north Illinois border in Kenosha, are you close to me because I'd love to invite you to dinner. Let me know I will watch this site! I was going to be alone too, but then this opportunity came up and if you can't join us I pray that something wonderful will make your day tomorrow. God Bless!
PS: I am trying to get my alternate email set up but having problems....so those of you who have opened email to me I want you to know that I am trying to get to you all and you know who you are!!xoxo Gina

I'm excited because my oldest daughter is home for a visit, she lives 11 hours away by car, and hasn't been home during Thanksgiving for a few years. Today we'll eat with my husband's side of the family; 22 of us, ages 3 months up to 80 years old will meet at a local park and have our feast outside. My parents and sister will be eating with her in-laws, and tomorrow we'll get together for Turkey sandwiches and pumpkin pie.
It is a rare treat for so many of us to be in town and 'off duty'. I'm looking forward to our time together.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our US folks!

I'll be with family at my youngest brothers home. Spending the holiday with his in-laws (a great bunch of people) my eldest daughter and her new hubby will be there along with his mother also my youngest daughter and her daughter who is pregnant with our first great grand (oops, there goes another button). This will be the first Thanksgiving I've gotten to spend with both girls in about six or seven years. It would be a great day for that reason alone even if we had nothing but hot dogs and sauerkraut but my sister-in-law is a great cook and throw in the specialties of the rest of the families... !!!!
Thanks for the invite maybe we can pop over for dessert but that would have to be quite a POP from Sacramento CA to the Midwest.
Blessings,
john

No, I won't be alone for Thanksgiving & thank you for asking. This year, my son & his family are in Ohio, spending Thanksgiving with my ex & his wife. My oldest son is unable to make the long trip up to my house, so my fiance & I will spend the day with three of our good friends. I know what it's like to be alone for the holidays & it's not fun. I feel for those who are alone & I hope that someone will invite them into their home for dinner or take a plate to them later. Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours. Thank you for being such a caring person.

Hubby and I will be home together for the day. We'll watch the Packer game, have a nice dinner, watch a movie, etc. On Saturday we drive 2 hours and spend it with his family. A peaceful few days.
Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings to you all!

Dinner for 15 at the local art gallery. Lots of artistic funny friends whose families live far and wide around the world. Good holiday to all, remember friendship is a commodity we can never run out of.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Melissa, and yours in the
mid-west. My daughter and her family live in Wisconsin,
so I can't see them either. I'll be spending the day with
in-laws and eating out with them. Hope everyone on Seniors has a wonderful day.
