I can't figure it out. On every major street corner I see a Rite Aid Store and right across the street, they're building a Walgreen's or vice versa. And there is never anybody inside the stores!!! What's their secret???

The secret is that they put the competition out of business - and end up competing with THEMSELVES ;););)

Up here in Canada, the two biggest Electronic Superstores are "Future Shop" and "Best Buy" - and they are owned by the SAME CORPORATION!!!

They ALWAYS set up shop within close proximity to each other - which prevents anyone else from being able to compete in that area - and thus take 100% of the market share...

The guy who came up with this idea is a marketing Genius ;););)

You do have to wonder how so many of the same kind of stores in close proximity thrive. These are no longer drug stores but merchandisers who carry a huge variety of products. The secret lies in the fact each chain has hundreds of stores; many high volume profitable locations. The most profit is generated through purchasing power. The volume is so great that they buy in huge quantities which result in lower per unit cost.

They're part of the corporate monopolists who have an unlimited amount of money so they subsidize their stores until all competition is out of business.
Same with Office Depot, Home Depot and GNC stores which never have any customers in them
